Low LOI, Consistent Quality

LOI ≤ 5% on Class F shipments. Selective sourcing from stable, long-term power plant partners — not spot market. Batch-to-batch variance tightly controlled.

Enhanced Durability for Demanding Projects

Proven resistance to ASR, sulfate attack, and chloride ingress. Widely specified for marine structures, mass concrete, and infrastructure with long service life requirements.

Verified Source, Stable Supply

Long-term offtake agreements with major Chinese power generators. Year-round availability. No supply disruptions from seasonal or market fluctuations.

Reduced Cement Cost Per m³

At 15–30% replacement rates, fly ash delivers measurable cost savings on cementitious content without compromising specification compliance or 28-day strength targets.

Flexible Packaging & Incoterms

25 kg PP bags, 1 MT / 1.5 MT jumbo bags, or bulk vessel loading. FOB, CIF, and CFR available from Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, and Lianyungang.

COA, MTC, CO, MSDS, and third-party inspection (SGS / BV / CIQ) available. All paperwork handled by our experienced export team.

Technical Data

Specifications by Grade

Class F is the primary export grade — low CaO, pozzolanic, widely specified internationally. Class C is available for customers requiring self-cementing properties or specific GB/T Category applications.

Applications

Where Our Customers Use Fly Ash

From mass concrete pours in the Middle East to precast production in Southeast Asia — fly ash is the workhorse SCM for volume-driven concrete operations worldwide.

Ready-Mix Concrete

Consistent 15–25% cement replacement. Improves workability, reduces heat, extends pump life.

Precast & Prestressed Concrete

Smoother surface finish, reduced efflorescence, earlier stripping where admixture-accelerated.

Mass Concrete & Foundations

Significantly reduced heat of hydration — critical for large pours, dam structures, and raft slabs.

Concrete Paving & Infrastructure

Long-term strength gain and enhanced sulfate resistance for roads, runways, and pavement slabs.

Cement Blending Plants

Direct bulk supply for PPC / PSC blending at clinker grinding and cement production facilities.

CLSM / Flowable Fill

High fly ash content mixes for trench backfill, utility bedding, and void-filling applications.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Class F and Class C fly ash?
Class F fly ash is produced from burning anthracite or bituminous coal and has a low calcium oxide (CaO) content of ≤ 8%. It is purely pozzolanic — it requires water and calcium hydroxide from cement hydration to react. Class C fly ash comes from sub-bituminous or lignite coal and contains 15–30% CaO, giving it self-cementing (cementitious) properties in addition to pozzolanic activity. Class F is the most widely traded grade internationally and is preferred for durability-critical applications such as marine structures and sulfate-exposed concrete. Class C is more common in North American markets.
What is the typical dosage rate for fly ash in concrete?
The typical replacement rate is 15–30% by weight of total cementitious material for most structural concrete applications. Up to 40–50% is used in mass concrete (dams, large foundations) where heat of hydration reduction is the primary objective. Higher replacement rates slow early strength gain, so mix design and curing requirements should be adjusted accordingly. A superplasticizer is generally recommended at replacement rates above 25%.
What does LOI mean and why does it matter?
LOI (Loss on Ignition) measures the unburned carbon content remaining in fly ash. High LOI indicates incomplete combustion and leads to variability in water demand, air-entrainment performance, and color consistency. ASTM C618 sets a maximum LOI of 6% for Class F; our standard specification is ≤ 5%, which ensures more consistent performance in admixture-sensitive mix designs and architectural concrete.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for fly ash?
MOQ is 1 metric ton for bagged orders (25 kg bags or jumbo bags), typically shipped as part of a full container load (FCL). For bulk vessel loading, minimum is 500 MT. Trial container orders are accepted for new buyers conducting mix design qualification. Contact our team to discuss your volume and destination.
Can fly ash be used to reduce alkali-silica reaction (ASR)?
Yes. Class F fly ash is highly effective at suppressing ASR when used at replacement rates of 20–30%. The low calcium and high silica content dilutes alkali concentration and consumes reactive silica before it can form expansive gel. This makes Class F fly ash a preferred mitigation strategy for projects using alkali-reactive aggregates, particularly in road pavements, dam concrete, and long-life infrastructure. Class C fly ash is less effective for ASR mitigation due to its higher alkali content.
