Vermiculite is graded by expanded particle size. Finer grades are preferred for horticulture and insulation plaster; coarser grades for loose-fill insulation, construction aggregates, and packaging. All grades available in both golden and silver color variants.

Expanded vermiculite is one of the lightest mineral products available — dramatically reducing structural loads in construction and shipping costs compared to conventional aggregates.
Excellent Water & Nutrient Retention
Accordion-layered structure absorbs and holds water and dissolved nutrients, releasing them gradually to plant roots. Critical for potting mixes, hydroponics, and propagation media.
Non-Combustible up to 1,150 °C
Vermiculite is inherently fireproof with a melting point above 1,300 °C. Widely specified in fire-rated building systems, passive fire protection, and high-temperature industrial insulation.
Asbestos-Free Certified
All Miningsun vermiculite is sourced from deposits independently tested and certified free from asbestiform minerals. Test certificates available on request for every lot.
pH Neutral, Sterile & Non-Toxic
Natural pH 6.5–7.5, sterile (no weed seeds or pathogens), chemically inert, and non-toxic. Fully compatible with organic farming standards and food-contact applications.
